Our 9 teen interns from the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) have been working hard to sharpen their skills in orienteering and event management and will help make all feel welcome at these public orienteering events around Cambridge and Boston. Grab your family and friends and come check out one of these exciting events!
Navigation Games is excited to partner with Cambridge Plays for this FREE weekly series of public events in Cambridge Parks. Orienteering activities for families, beginners, summer campers, and orienteers will be set up around the park. Learn to read a map, find checkpoints and test your speed! Come any time between 10AM and 12PM.

$5 fee per person; pre-registration required. This beginner and family friendly event at Boojum Rock in Middlesex Fells will teach participants to read an orienteering map and improve their basic navigation skills. Run introductory courses through the woods as you find checkpoints on a map.

Rediscover Georges Island through a new lens during this introductory orienteering event for families, summer camps, and beginning orienteers. Traverse the natural and manmade obstacles of Fort Warren while finding mapped checkpoints around the island. This FREE event was made possible with a grant from our friends at Boston Harbor Now. Limited free ferry tickets available. Registration and ferry ticket reservation required using the link above.
Come explore Peddocks Island through orienteering! Navigate your way through abandoned forts, forests and beaches on one of our timed courses. Race your friends or take your time and see all that Peddocks Island has to offer. Courses will range from introductory to advanced (white through red) with mini-courses for youngsters and beginners. This unique and FREE event is co-hosted by the New England Orienteering Club and made possible with a grant from Boston Harbor Now.
