About the Event
Join us for fun and games at Georges Island!
Rediscover Georges Island through a new lens during this introductory orienteering event for families, summer camps, and beginning orienteers. Traverse the natural and man made obstacles of Fort Warren while finding mapped checkpoints around the island. We will have Animal Orienteering and a Map Treasure Hunt (a "Score-O").
This event is suitable for children and beginners age 3 and up. Parents or guardians must accompany all children.
While you're on the island, you may also enjoy a tour of the historic Warren Fort from a national park ranger, a picnic, or a hike. (No swimming is allowed on Georges Island due to strong local currents.)
We have free ferry tickets for the first 100 participants who sign up. Choose the outbound ferry tickets you desire.
Registration for FREE ferry tickets closes 8/1/24 @ 8AM!
