Better Orienteering in PE I: Elementary Skill Building (Indoors)

Orienteering is a physically active outdoor experience that develops map navigation skills.

In this workshop, participants will play some games and get to know our introductory school orienteering curriculum. You will come away with lesson plans and ideas for bringing orienteering to your students.

Better Orienteering in PE II: Map Games (Outdoors if weather permits)

In this workshop we will play outdoor orienteering games using a map of the campus. You will think about how to incorporate orienteering-based games in your curriculum.

You will navigate outdoors in teams, reflect on your experience, and adapt the activities to work with your programs’ spaces and communities. You will also walk away with activity plans and resources.
