About the Event
Navigation Games invites the public to come and try orienteering at Danehy Park on Tuesday, August 9th. Arrive any time between 10:30 a.m. and noon, and plan to spend about an hour. Courses close at 1:00 p.m. The event will be hosted by teens from the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program. The activities are suitable for everyone from age 4 to 105, and will include
- A regular orienteering course
- Finding checkpoints on a drawing of the park
- Animal orienteering (find pictures of animals in order)
- Other games
Bring your friends! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Teens from other Mayor’s Program worksites are welcome to attend!
